Gold for the intelligent
In Germany, the rule of thumb for a hundred years has been this:
"Gold for the intelligent, dental mercury for the stupid."
Surely, what is meant by this is the attitude and the level of knowledge of the parents whose children's cavities have been stuffed with metals.
Clearly, this decision has never been a question of money but rather a question of knowledge.
It is not a coincidence that the poorest Jews in Germany exclusively had their children´s teeth filled with gold, whereas the children of the average worker have never had gold in their mouths.
Gold and dental quicksilver divides the nation - into the intelligent and into those who depend (on the government).
Soon enough dentists learned how to profit from these cultural differences.
